More Variation in Job Market Means More Young People

 

Liverpool and Manchester are the two major UK cities with the highest percentages of the young population. The population of Manchester in particular consist of thirty-two-point-nine percent of people aged between twenty and thirty-five. It should go without saying that this particular demographic is the one to rent a property at a significantly higher rate than other age groups in the UK.     Manchester also offers some of the highest net rental yields in the country, with the city average sitting at six-point-zero-four percent.

Another major city in the UK that has a significant portion of people aged between twenty-one and thirty-five. This particular demographic makes up a whole third of the overall population of the city, with twenty-eight-point-five percent representation. The average net rental yields in Glasgow are at six-point-nine percent.

These figures clearly demonstrate the existing correlation between a high percentage of young people in a city and the rental yield that can be achieved from the buy-to-let property on that location.
