The Regeneration of The Albert Dock of The City of Liverpool

The Albert Dock of the city of Liverpool was opened officially back in eighteen forty six, but had operated successfully only for half a century or so.
By the beginning of the 20th century, the Albert Dock was too small to be able to accommodate the large iron and steel steamships, and it looked as though the dock was no longer fit for its purpose.
As a matter of fact, after the nineteen twenties there was no more commercial activity in the dock, and by nineteen seventy two it closed.
In spite of this, however, the significance of the Albert Dock of the city of Liverpool was not forgotten – In nineteen fifty two it was given a Grade I listed building status and in nineteen seventy six it was made a conservation area. Today, the Albert Dock of the city of Liverpool is also one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
In nineteen eighty three the Arrow croft had been tasked with an enormous responsibility to regenerate the Albert Dock of the city of Liverpool, in a project that has unfolded over a twenty year timeline.
The the result of the project was one point three million square feet of high quality mixed-use accommodation property, with trendy resultants, bars, retail spaces, residential apartments, and offices included.

The Regeneration of The Lime Street of The City of Liverpool

After the dispute between the Neptune property developer company – The commercial property development partner of the Sigma – and the campaigners of the SAVE Britain’s Heritage had been resolved, the project for the regeneration of the Lime Street of the city of Liverpool has recently finally been confirmed to go ahead.
This thirty nine million Pounds worth project includes the creation of a four hundred and twelve bedroom student accommodation block, over thirty thousand square feet of commercial space, and a one hundred and one bedroom hotel.
The focus of the dispute was the proposed demolition of the historic Futurist cinema. The campaigners of the SAVE Britain’s Heritage were against the demolition of the cinema, stating that it was inappropriate and necessary action, but the court has rule that the building was structurally unsound and that there was little that could be done in order to stabilize it, thus meaning that demolition was not an unreasonable step to take.
